triceps builder with your arms overhead and a cable pulling from behind you
the overhead position lengthens the long head the same way the dumbbell
version does, but the cable keeps pulling at lockout where gravity has already
stopped
that makes it the overhead extension that loads the whole range rather than
just the bottom
Execution
Set a rope at the bottom of a cable stack. Face away from it, take the rope in
both hands and press it overhead with your elbows pointing forward. Step forward
until the cable is under tension. Brace your trunk.
lower your hands behind your head by bending your elbows
keep your upper arms vertical and your elbows pointing forward
descend until you feel the stretch along the back of your arms
extend your elbows to press back out to lockout
let the cable pull your hands back under control
When the set gets heavy, bang out a few more reps in the bottom half to milk the
stretched position.
