front-delt builder pressing one arm at a time along an angled path
the bar travels forward as much as up, so the elbow stays in front of you
instead of tracking out to the side
that angled path splits the difference between an overhead press and an
incline press, so the side delts assist less than they do on a strict vertical
press without dropping out of it
Execution
Load one end of a barbell in a landmine and stand facing it, feet staggered.
Bring the free end to your shoulder in one hand, elbow tucked in front of you.
Brace your trunk.
press the bar up and away along its arc until your arm extends
keep your elbow travelling in front of you rather than out to the side
lower it under control back to your shoulder
descend until you feel the stretch across the front of your shoulder
finish all reps on one arm before switching
Half-kneeling works just as well. The stance changes how comfortable you are,
not what the press does, so take whichever you prefer.
