back builder rowed one arm at a time from a landmine, standing alongside the
bar
the Meadows row stands side on and carries your arm across your body. This one
keeps the arm in line and pulls straight back along your side, closer to a
dumbbell row with less rotation
the bar pivots at the floor, so the resistance builds through the pull instead
of staying flat
Execution
Load a barbell into a landmine attachment or wedge it securely in a corner.
Stand beside the loaded end so the bar runs alongside you. Take the end of the
bar in the hand nearest it with a strap. Hinge at the hips and brace your trunk.
let your arm extend and your shoulder travel down into the stretch
pull the bar to your hip, leading with the elbow
keep your torso square rather than twisting into the pull
lower it under control along the same arc
finish all reps on one side before switching
When the weight gets heavy, use body English to cheat it up and own the
negative. Keep going until you can no longer perform the lengthened half of a
rep.
