Purpose
- delt builder on a fixed path with nothing spent on balance
- the machine holds tension across the whole range, so the bottom stays loaded
where a free-weight press loses it
- both arms share one handle path, so the stronger side can carry the weaker one
Execution
Set the seat so the handles start at shoulder height. Sit back against the pad
and take the handles.
- press the handles overhead until your arms extend
- let them travel back down until you feel the stretch across your front delts
- pause briefly in the stretched position to maximize tension
- press back up along the same path
- keep your back against the pad throughout
Set the seat height once and keep it. Moving it changes where the press starts,
which changes the exercise.
