Purpose
- delt builder with both hands on one implement and a neutral grip
- the machine swings the handles through an arc, so the press travels forward as
much as up and sits between an overhead press and an incline press
- the neutral grip and the fixed arc let you load it heavily without balancing
anything
Execution
Stand in the machine and take the handles with your palms facing each other,
elbows tucked in front of you. Brace your trunk and set your feet.
- press the handles up and away along the arc until your arms extend
- let them travel back until your hands reach shoulder height
- descend until you feel the stretch across your front delts
- pause briefly in the stretched position to maximize tension
- press back out along the same arc
The neutral grip keeps the shoulders in front of you rather than out to the
sides, so expect more weight here than on a barbell press overhead.
