Purpose
- forearm builder that winds a weight up on a rope, one hand over the other
- the forearms never stop working: there is no top, no bottom and no rest point,
just continuous winding until they give out
- it trains the grip and the forearms together under a load that never lets go,
which is something no curl or wrist curl does
Execution
Take a wrist roller at chest height with both hands, arms extended in front of
you, with a plate hanging from the rope.
- wind the roller forwards, alternating hands, until the plate reaches the top
- keep your arms extended in front of you rather than letting them drop
- unwind it under control back to the bottom
- wind it backwards on the next set to work the other direction
- stop when your forearms stop responding, not when the plate arrives
Hold your arms up. The moment they drop to your sides the leverage changes and
the forearms get an easier ride than they should.
